The MERIDA UNIVERSAL REAR CARRIER is a rear luggage rack for loads up to 25 kg. It is designed to fit a variety of bikes and has a spring-loaded bracket to help keep your cargo safely in place.

Features:

• The UNIVERSAL REAR CARRIER is suitable for bikes with a lateral luggage carrier screw connection at the drop out (e.g. SILEX, CROSSWAY URBAN, SPEEDER) and all models with lateral or front bolt positions on the seatstays. The installation width of the lower mounting points is 169 mm.
• The REAR CARRIER set contains two brackets of different lengths, adapters and screws.
• MERIDA eBIG.NINE/SEVEN models should be fitted using the luggage rack L adapter (2098015267).

What is Rear Carrier ?

Rear Rack. A rack provides a stable framework to hold gear on your bicycle. In good weather, items can be strapped directly to the rack without a cover. For foul weather or the ability to hold loose items together, bags such as rack trunks and panniers can be easily attached to the rear rack.

About Merida Brand

MERIDA’s company founder Ike Tseng (1932–2012) was a very honour-able person and a real visionary. During a trip through the USA at the beginning of the 1970s, he discovered a note at the door of a bike shop stating that no bikes from Taiwan were accepted for repair due to bad quality. This annoyed Ike Tseng – and already shortly after, in September 1972, the first production plant of his company Merida Industry Co., Ltd. was opened in Yuanlin (Taiwan).
